Bluebell

The BB610R is a 1RU sub rack device which works in conjunction with the BB610T. The optical signal from the BB610T is received by the BB610R. This optical signal is converted to an electrical serial data stream which is then de-multiplexed into six I²S data streams. These are then converter into six AES digital audio channels and presented to the XLR connectors on the front face of the unit. There is a genlock facility available to synchronise the outputs to a local reference.

XLR connectors on the front of the unit provide simple and easy connectivity, particularly for outside broadcast or live event applications. An unbalanced 75ohm BNC version is also available.

All Bluebell products are designed to retain maximum integrity of the signal path offering excellent jitter free optical transport. Careful attention has been paid to reduce thermal runaway, eliminating the need for forced air cooling as fan failure and overheating is the most common cause of failure in modern electronic systems.

The BB610R is available in Multimode and Singlemode variants to suit any fibre application. The receiver modules used in the BB610R are wide band receivers so they work either with Multimode or with Singlemode wavelengths and CWDM transmitter variants. This will allow up to 48 digital audio channels to be carried on a single fibre. It can also be used in complex multiple multistandard video and audio formats unidirectionally or bidirectionally on one single fibre.
The BB610R is contained in a 1RU 19" rack-mounting frame with integral power supply.

The BB610T is a 1RU sub rack device for the transmission of six independent synchronous or non-synchronous balanced or unbalanced AES digital audio signals over a single fibre optic
cable. All six inputs are buffered then converted to an I²S data format. There is a genlocking facility available. The data channels are multiplexed on to a single high speed databus then converted to an optical data stream.

The BC400T is a transmitter for the conversion of SD-SDI into an optical signal with the ability to embed 2 channels of AES/EBU audio. The incoming signal is auto-sensed and then equalised prior to conversion and transmission down a single optical fibre. All Bluebell cards are designed to retain maximum integrity of the signal path offering excellent jitter free optical transport.
Careful attention has been paid to reduce thermal runaway, eliminating the need for forced air cooling as fan failure and overheating is the most common cause of failure in modern electronic systems.

The BC400T is available in multimode, singlemode, WDM and CWDM variants to suit any fibre application.

The BC400T occupies a single slot in the BC100-3RU 19" rack-mounting frame which can hold up to 15 single slot cards. Some BC Series processing cards have dual functionality allowing up to 30 channels of video to be transmitted or received from a single 3RU frame.
Signal and card monitoring is achieved through SNMP monitoring in the BM101 network card.
Alternatively GP-Output alarms can be triggered via the BM100 module.

For stand alone applications the BC400T can be housed in an individual rugged enclosure.

The BC400R is a receiver for the conversion of an optical signal into SD-SDI with the ability to de-embed 2 channels of AES/EBU audio. The incoming optical signal is fed to a trans-impedance and limiting amplifier before being electrically reclocked on the outputs. An internal de-embedder drives the AES/EBU output signals via a line transformer. All Bluebell cards are designed to retain maximum integrity of the signal path offering excellent jitter free optical transport. Careful attention has been paid to reduce thermal runaway, eliminating the need for forced air cooling as fan failure and overheating is the most common cause of failure in modern electronic systems.

The BC700A is a transceiver card for the transmission of two independent duplex AES-EBU digital audio signals over fibre optical cable. Data isolation transformers are provided on each electrical I/O to provide two independent AES3 digital audio input channels and two independent AES3 digital audio output channels per card. All Bluebell cards are designed to retain maximum integrity of the signal path offering excellent jitter free optical transport. Careful attention has been paid to reduce thermal runaway, eliminating the need for forced air cooling as fan failure and overheating is the most common cause of failure in modern electronic systems.
