The BC720 is a transceiver card providing for the transmission and reception of 4 x independent GPIO signals plus 4 x RS232 or RS422/485 level signals via fibre optical cable using two independent wavelengths. The 4 x GPIO input signals are TTL level inputs with the 4 x GPIO outputs provided via isolated relay contact closure.
The BC720 will also operate in a mixed mode allowing RS232 to RS422/485 links to be made eliminating the need for external mode converters.
All Bluebell cards are designed to retain maximum integrity of the signal path offering excellent jitter free optical transport. Careful attention has been paid to reduce thermal runaway, eliminating the need for forced air cooling as fan failure and overheating is the most common cause of failure in modern electronic systems.
The BC720 is available in multimode and singlemode variants to suit any fibre application.
The BC720 occupies a single slot in the BC100-3RU 19" rack-mounting frame which can hold up to 15 single slot cards. This dual functionality allows up to 30 channels of video to be transmitted or received from a single 3RU frame.
Signal and card monitoring is achieved through SNMP monitoring in the BM101 network card.
Alternatively GP-Output alarms can be triggered via the BM100 module.
For stand alone applications the BC720 can be housed in an individual rugged enclosure.
The BC800 is a copper twisted pair to fibre optic media converter for 10/100Mbps Ethernet data.
It provides two channels (full duplex) of 100Base-FX data transmission with 10/100Mbps half/full duplex auto-negotiation on multimode or singlemode fibre.
Data isolation transformers are provided for the twisted pair input and output.

The BC410T is a transmitter for the conversion of SD-SDI into an optical signal with the ability to embed 1 channel of AES/EBU audio plus a simplex RS232 data signal. The incoming signal is auto-sensed and then equalised prior to conversion and transmission down a single optical fibre. All Bluebell cards are designed to retain maximum integrity of the signal path offering excellent jitter free optical transport. Careful attention has been paid to reduce thermal runaway, eliminating the need for forced air cooling as fan failure and overheating is the most common cause of failure in modern electronic systems.
The BC410T is available in multimode, singlemode, WDM and CWDM variants to suit any fibre application.
The BC410T occupies a single slot in the BC100-3RU 19" rack-mounting frame which can hold up to 15 single slot cards. Some BC Series processing cards have dual functionality allowing up to 30 channels of video to be transmitted or received from a single 3RU frame.

The BC410R is a receiver for the conversion of an optical signal into SD-SDI with the ability to de-embed 1 channel of AES/EBU audio plus a simplex RS232 data signal. The incoming optical signal is fed to a trans-impedance and limiting amplifier before being electrically reclocked on the outputs. An internal de-embedder drives the AES/EBU output signal via a line transformer. All Bluebell cards are designed to retain maximum integrity of the signal path offering excellent jitter free optical transport. Careful attention has been paid to reduce thermal runaway, eliminating the need for forced air cooling as fan failure and overheating is the most common cause of failure in modern electronic systems.
