The Nimbra 140 series comprises a complete range of broadcast quality fiber optic appliancies. It includes high-quality, cost effective broadcast appliances, including O/E converters, wavelength/TDM multiplexers, audio embedders and optical failover switces. Nimbra 130 is a series of state-of-the-art JPEG2000 codecs that are able to encode/decode HD and SD-SDI inputs into either an IP or ASI output for transport over the Nimbra network. To ensure the high quality Broadcast clients demand, the Nimbra 130 encodes on a frame-by-frame basis. The result is extremely low latency encoding and decoding. This makes it ideal for real time broadcasts such as live two-way interviews.

Nimbra 120 is a compact and easy-to-deploy CWDM multiplexing solution that provides scalability and cost-effectiveness for service providers and professional media network operators. Together with CWDM SFP or XFP modules in the Nimbra family of multiservice switches, the Nimbra 120 forms a scalable and highly flexible optical networking solution. A DWDM version is also available on request.
