The Nimbra One provides the backbone for many of our network installations. It offers seven slots that support all of our Nimbra One/300 service and access interfaces and one slot for a Control Module.


Nimbra 340 and Nimbra 340-HD are super-charged multiservice access and switching devices for demanding video and data applications. The compact 2RU solution and the wide selection of multiservice access interfaces makes the Nimbra 340 series ideally suited for use at the customer premises or in co-location POPs.


The Nimbra 360 was developed to support the particular needs of DVB and Mobile TV networks. It incorporates configurable trunk and Gigabit Ethernet ports. You can connect the system to virtually any trunk circuit and network. The chassis offers two slots for video and audio interfaces or additional trunk ports.


Nimbra 380 is an IP media access switch that combines native audio/video service transport with carrier class Metro Ethernet switching. It provides a true multi-service transport for demanding media and data services, targeting the increased demand for advanced Ethernet services and IP QoS transport.


The 8-port SDI Video Access Module for Nimbra 300 enables digital video transport with guaranteed quality of service in studio, contribution and distribution networks. It provides a flexible transport solution for a variety of professional video applications.The 8 x SDI Access Module enables point-to-point transport as well as multicasting of pristine quality video over telco circuits with 100% Quality of Service and extraordinarily high bandwidth utilization.


The 8 x ASI Transport Access Module supports cost-effective, high-capacity broadcast, contribution, and distribution networks. It enables point-to-point transport as well as multicasting of pristine quality video over telco circuits with 100% Quality of Service and extraordinarily high bandwidth utilization. Customers all over the world use the 8 x ASI Transport Access Module in a variety of video production, post-production and broadcast environments.


Customers around the world use the 8 x AES/EBU Access Module in audio and video production, post-production, contribution and distribution environments that require superb quality audio. It supports transport of eight completely independent digital audio streams at different sampling rates with a guaranteed 100% Quality of Service independent of network load and topology. In addition to transport of AES3 standard audio signals, the module also supports compressed formats like Dolby® E and Dolby® Digital.


The SDI Video Access Module lets you transport uncompressed standard definition video with 100% Quality of Service and extremely high bandwidth utilization. It is widespread use all over the world in DTV networks, supporting live event broadcasts, in studio point-to-point systems, and high quality telepresence applications. Nimbra systems equipped with this Module let you eliminate costly video compression systems, vastly improve video quality and reduce operating costs.


Our Gigabit Ethernet Access Module lets you deliver exactly the bandwidth required for each application in your network. You have complete control over bandwidth in 0.5 Mbps increments — all with 100% Quality of Service. Slice and deliver bandwidth as you like with no restrictions based on legacy IP hierarchies. The Gigabit Ethernet Access Module is useful in almost every implementation for delivering Ethernet service to remote locations, transmitter sites, event locations, and network head-ends.


The Fast Ethernet Access Module lets you deliver exactly the bandwidth required for each 100 Mbps or lower data application in your network. You have complete control over bandwidth in 0.5 Mbps increments — all with 100% Quality of Service. Slice and deliver bandwidth as you like with no restrictions based on legacy IP hierarchies.


The E1 and T1 Access modules offer a transparent PDH transport service for the Nimbra One and Nimbra 340 family of products. Utilizing the platform's inherent support for streaming media, E1 and T1 circuits can easily be provisioned between any points of the network. Each E1/T1 board provides 8 independent bi-directional 2Mbps or 1.5Mbps ports.


The OC-3/STM-1 Access Module for the Nimbra One and Nimbra 340 family of products provides seamless service integration and migration for metro networks. The module offers 4 channelized interfaces for transport of any OC-3 / STM-1 compatible services (PDH, POS, ATM etc). Since OC-3 / STM-1 is the de facto universal optical access interface in the service provider community the usability of the Access Module is very widespread.


The 4 x DS3/E3 combined Trunk and Access Module can be configured to either act as a DS3/E3 trunk module, or a DS3/E3 access module. The trunk mode offers four 45 or 34 Mbps interfaces for transporting data with 100% Quality of Service. It enables multi-service operation with guaranteed QoS and high utilization over standard DS3/E3 connections or leased lines. In the Access mode, the module supports all the standard functions of the Nimbra platform, including multicast, fault and performance monitoring and fast 1+1 protection switching.


The 3-port IP/Ethernet Trunk Module is the latest addition to the family of trunk interfaces for the Nimbra One/300 series of multi- service switches. The packet-based trunk module provides the same comprehensive management and networking features for the Nimbra platform as for the PDH and SDH/SONET trunk modules, and also enables the use of cost-effective IP/Ethernet links for interconnection of Nimbra nodes.


The OC-48/STM-16 X-ADM Module is a high capacity interface often used in large multiservice networks. The Module incorporates an on-board switch matrix that increases the switch capacity of the Nimbra One Network Switch, which reduces costs and provides the high capacities needed in the ring networks used in Triple Play applications.


The 2 x OC-12/STM-4 Trunk Module provides two 622 Mbps SONET/SDH interfaces capable of handling ASI and uncompressed SDI video, audio and data with 100% Quality of Service. You can allocate bandwidth to any service in 0.5 Mbps increments, ensuring maximum utilization of your telco infrastructure. The Module’s on board non-blocking switch matrix optimizes the availability of through traffic.


The 4xOC-3/STM-1 Trunk Module provides four ports for transporting ASI, audio and data in multiservice networks with 100% Quality of Service. You can allocate bandwidth to any service in 0.5 Mbps increments, ensuring maximum utilization of your telco infrastructure. The 4xOC-3/STM-1 Module is a cost-effective, reliable component in many DTV network installations.
